I’ve been cleaning out my Gmail and Google Apps mail accounts and felt the need to delete some Labels, which seemed to be dominating the left side of my Gmail window. After nuking the little-used labels I still had a good many Labels left, but noticed a Label option to “Show if unread” which helped me clean up the “Label clutter” in my mail accounts.
